LostCoffee was established in 2010 by two Castle Rock, Colorado residents, John Paulsen & Scott Gaerte.  Together with their skilled baristas and staff strive to marry ...speed and quality in a cup™.

Brewtus was the first to introduce LostCoffee's locally roasted bean to the masses in 2010. Just like the beverages on board he was transformed by hand into a bold and handsome representation of the brand to come. Scott & John spent over a year fueling the truck and fueling fans throughout Colorado.  More was  in store, literally.

"We kept telling ourselves, five stores in five years."

In the October of 2010 the first lease was signed, but little did they know that wouldn't be the first store to actually open.  While construction on Limelight Ave. continued the Perry Street store lease was signed in December of that same year.

On February 10th 2011 the Paulsens and the Gaertes opened their first store, The Perry Street store.  The very address in which the families became friends many years before.

We call ourselves a coffee company because that’s exactly what we’re creating.  Not just a coffee shop.  A coffee company. How is our approach different?  Until now no one has mastered the feel of a small coffee shop with a consistent taste.  That is our bottom line.  Sure we want to get your drink made as fast as possible.  We know you're busy these days.  It's the consistent flavor in your drink that we spend hours mastering.  Speed married with consistent quality is our benchmark.  Combining these formulas gives our customers the greatest coffee buying experience.
